2010 SEASON IN REVIEW: New Mexico head coach Mike Locksley has been fighting an uphill battle ever since he took over the Lobos following the 2008 campaign.

Granted, the program is serving three year's NCAA probation with scholarship reductions, but shouldn't a team of this stature still be able to record just one more than a single victory each season? Under Locksley that's what the UNM fans have been given, a grand total of two wins in as many years. While it is true that injuries and youth have contributed to the program's ineptitude, there really should be more to cheer about in Albuquerque.In 2010 the Lobos opened with a hideous 72-0 loss to Oregon on the road, helping to perpetuate the myth that the Ducks were one of the top teams in the country. In the next two games, UNM allowed 52 and 56 points to the likes of Texas Tech and Utah, respectively, and then bowed to UNLV in a 45-10 loss in Sin City.
