College Basketball Preview - Atlantic Coast Conference

OUTLOOK: The ACC has traditionally possessed two powerhouses in North Carolina and Duke and then a bunch of other teams left scrambling for validation on the big stage. The 2011-12 season may have a slightly different feel to it, however.Nothing will change at the very top, as North Carolina looks to be the most loaded program in the nation and was awarded the top spot in the national polls to begin the year as a result. While Duke will once again provide a stiff challenge for conference supremacy, it is the Florida State Seminoles that hold the most intrigue. FSU has finally taken that next step under Leonard Hamilton and could provide the conference with another bona fide powerhouse when all is said and done.The middle of the pack will consist of Virginia, Clemson, Miami-Florida and Virginia Tech.
