Injury forces Utah QB Wynn to retire

Utah junior quarterback Jordan Wynn, who suffered another season-ending shoulder injury during Friday game against Utah State, will consequently retire from football, head coach Kyle Whittingham announced at a Monday press conference.Wynn, who during a 27-20 overtime loss to the Aggies injured his left, non- throwing shoulder -- the same one he's had two previous surgeries on -- will likely require yet another operation, his fourth overall shoulder surgery since becoming the starting quarterback for the Utes as standout true- freshman in 2009.In addition to the three surgeries he's endured on his left shoulder, Wynn also had a surgery on his right shoulder in 2010."[He's] injured to the point that we had a conversation with him, and he's going to hang up the football," Whittingham said.
