A winter storm packing heavy winds dumped snow and slush all across the Midwest Thursday night into Friday, creating dangerous conditions that canceled hundreds of flights and caused several road accidents.About 270 flights in and out of Chicago's two airports were canceled Friday morning and inbound flights were held up by an average of 90 minutes due to the snow and ice, according to the airline tracking website FlightAware.com.Kansas City International Airport canceled all flights Thursday night, and in St Louis, officials scrubbed more than 320 flights. Fox2now.com in St. Louis reports about 150 stranded travelers had to spend the night in Lambert Airport's main terminal.
