John Travolta Cancels Golden Globe Appearance

Actor John Travolta will not be attending this year’s Golden Globe awards after the tragic death of his teen son learlier this month.Travolta was scheduled to appear at the show in support of his last movie “Bolt,” nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for his duet with Miley Cyrus entitled “Thought I Lost You.”The actor’s son Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at the family’s vacation home in the Bahamas. His body was discovered unconscious on the morning of January 2. He was rushed to the hospital, but died a short time later.Click for photos of Jett Travolta with his family.The teen’s body was cremated last Monday and his ashes were flown to the U.S. The family held a memorial service Thursday.Travolta’s rep Samantha Mast told E!
