Red Wings survive Ducks shootout to extend home streak

The Detroit Red Wings survived an anxious 2-1 shootout victory over the Anaheim Ducks to extend their home winning streak to 19 games.

The victory moves the Red Wings within one win of tying the NHL record of 20 successive home victories set by Boston in 1929-30 and matched by Philadelphia in 1976.
