Tanev's third-period goal propels Canucks past Jets

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Christopher Tanev scored the tiebreaking goal midway through the third period and the Vancouver Canucks edged the Winnipeg Jets, 2-1, for their sixth straight victory at home.Eddie Lack earned the win with 15 saves in relief of starter Roberto Luongo, who departed at 16:30 of the first period with a lower-body injury.Brad Richardson picked up the other goal on a power play for the Canucks, who improved to 9-1-1 in December."These are important wins for us," said Vancouver head coach John Tortorella.
