Winnipeg Jets re-sign right winger Blake Wheeler to two-year contract

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed winger Blake Wheeler to a new contract.The deal, announced Monday, is reportedly worth US$5.1 million over two years.Wheeler joined the Atlanta Thrashers last February through a trade with Boston that also brought defenceman Mark Stuart .He appeared in 23 games for Atlanta and recorded seven goals and 10 assists.
