What is pancreatic cancer ?

Pancreatic cancer -- the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States -- occurs when malignant cells develop in the pancreas.

The National Cancer Institute estimated that in 2012, approximately 43,920 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and 37,390 people will die from the disease.
