Toledo earns maiden win with playoff in Texas

Esteban Toledo parred the third playoff hole on Sunday to win the Insperity Championship.Toledo tied the low round of the day on the Tournament Course at The Woodlands Country Club with a 5-under 67 to meet third-round leader Gene Sauers (74) and Mike Goodes (72) at 6-under-par 210."I felt great this morning. I told my wife that I was going to go out and shoot a 66 and catch up with them," Toledo said. "And I shoot 67; I guess that was good enough, but I was very focused on the game all day long."The three returned to the 18th hole for the first two playoffs, and after they all parred the first extra hole, Sauers was eliminated with a bogey at the second after hitting his second shot into the water.Toledo and Goodes then headed to the 17th hole for the third playoff, where Toledo 2-putted for par and the win as Goodes missed a 6-foot par effort."Esteban played great," said Goodes.
