Tunisia closes in on final playoffs for World Cup

Tunisia moved closer to Africa's final playoffs in World Cup qualifying without even playing Saturday after group rival Sierra Leone's 1-0 loss in Cape Verde.The Tunisians now need just a tie in Sunday's game with Equatorial Guinea to seal a place in the final 10 games for the five African places in Brazil next year.Ghana's hopes also were boosted after Zambia was held to a 1-1 tie at home by Sudan, giving the Ghanaians the opportunity to leapfrog the Zambians at the top of their group by beating Lesotho.Libya closed in on its first World Cup appearance with Friday's 2-0 home win over a weakened Togo, with two of Togo's France-based players refusing to play in the qualifier in Tripoli because of security concerns....
