Marion Barber retiring after 7 NFL seasons

Running back Marion Barber has decided to retire from the NFL after seven seasons, the Chicago Bears announced Friday.Barber, 28, entered the league with the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 as a fourth- round draft pick.The Minnesota product spent the first six years of his career with the Cowboys before joining the Bears prior to last season. In his lone season with Chicago, Barber played in 11 games and gained 422 yards on 114 carries while pacing the team with six rushing touchdowns.Barber ran for 4,780 yards and 53 touchdowns in 99 career games.
