Person with knowledge of deal: Colts agree to deal with free agent OL Gosder Cherilus

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed in principle to a contract with free agent offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus.A person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press that Cherilus was heading to Indianapolis on Tuesday night to take a physical, speaking on condition of anonymity because the contract had not yet been signed.The addition of Cherilus, a 6-foot-7, 325-pound right tackle fills a major need on the offensive line for the Colts.Indy went into free agency roughly $40 million under the salary cap looking first to firm up an offensive line that allowed Andrew Luck to be sacked 41 times and get hit dozens more.Cherilus was Detroit's first-round draft pick in 2008 and played every snap except one last season at right tackle for the Lions....
