The San Diego Chargers and pass rusher Dwight Freeney are reportedly on the verge of a deal.According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Freeney has agreed to a two-year contract.Freeney spent his first 11 NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and has 107 1/2 career sacks in 163 games. He's reached double figures seven times and last year, after switching from defensive end to outside linebacker in Indianapolis' new 3-4 scheme, posted five sacks in 14 games.The Chargers' need for an outside linebacker became more urgent on Tuesday when Melvin Ingram tore his left ACL during offseason training activities.
