Derrick Mason retiring after 15 NFL seasons

Wide receiver Derrick Mason has decided to call it a career after 15 seasons in the NFL."I'm done," Mason told Scout.com in a telephone interview. "I won't be playing football. I only knew one way to play football, going all-out and having fun out there."After spending six seasons with the Ravens, Mason was cut by Baltimore prior to this year's training camp. He caught 19 passes for 170 yards in 12 combined games this season with the New York Jets and Houston Texans .Mason is the Ravens' all-time leader in receptions (471) and yards (5,777).The 37-year-old was selected with the 98th overall pick in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft by Tennessee and spent eight seasons there before moving on to the Ravens.
