In the FCS Huddle: 2012 Pioneer League Preview

For the longest time, it seemed like the Pioneer Football League couldn't and wouldn't be able to earn the respect of its big brother FCS super conferences.That was until the NCAA announced last week it is expanding the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs from 20 to 24 teams beginning in 2013.No league is more excited than the non-scholarship PFL, which will become the 11th conference to earn an automatic bid for its champion.In fact, the decision is even more important for the league because some of its best teams have been overlooked and forgotten in year's past.Since 2007, two teams have finished 11-1 (Dayton in '07 and Butler in'09) and two teams have finished 10-1 (Jacksonville and Dayton in '10) without going to the postseason.
