Veteran quarterback Sage Rosenfels and cornerback Chris Carr were among 20 players cut loose by the Minnesota Vikings Friday as the team announced its current 53-man roster for the upcoming 2012 season.Rosenfels, who's started 12 games over an 11-year stint with five different teams, spent the latter portion of last season with the Vikings and was re- signed by the club in March to presumably serve as the No. 3 quarterback behind Christian Ponder and Joe Webb. However, Minnesota elected to keep former UFL player McLeod Bethel-Thompson in that role.The 34-year-old hasn't appeared in an NFL game since making five starts with Houston in 2008, but has thrown for 4,156 yards, 30 touchdowns and 29 interceptions with stops in Washington, Miami, Houston, Minnesota and the New York Giants.Carr signed a one-year deal with the Vikings during the offseason after spending the past three years with Baltimore, starting 16 games for the Ravens in 2010.
