The Truth Behind Rudy Fernandez's Gold-Medal Flop

During the men's basketball gold medal game on Sunday, Spain's Rudy Fernandez really went all-out with a flop as Andre Iguodala slipped and went for a loose ball. It was possibly the best performance by Spain in the game and really was some next-level flopping -- at least, at first glance. On the replay, it turned out that there was actually a really good reason for the flop. And the truth may surprise you.Yes, it turns out that Guile from the "Street Fighter" franchise had somehow snuck onto the court and egregiously flash-kicked the Spanish player. It turns out that flagrant (or whatever FIBA calls it) that Team USA received was totally justified! That's Guile's problem, everyone: sometimes he just loves America too much. We forgive you, Guile. For more on the Olympics, check out SB Nation's London 2012 Olympics hub . For more on Olympic basketball, follow the 2012 Olympic basketball section....
