Livingston among Rockets' final cuts

The Houston Rockets trimmed their roster in advance of their season opener by waiving guard Shaun Livingston and forwards Jon Brockman, JaJuan Johnson, Gary Forbes and Lazar Hayward on Monday.The oft-injured Livingston, selected fourth overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2004 NBA Draft, had been acquired along with Brockman and Jon Leuer in a trade with Milwaukee in late June. The 27-year-old appeared in 58 games and made 27 starts for the Bucks last season, averaging 5.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest.Over seven seasons with the Clippers, Miami, Oklahoma City, Washington, Charlotte and Milwaukee, Livingston has averaged 6.8 points and 3.5 assists per game.Johnson is also a former first-round choice, taken 27th overall by the Nets and promptly dealt to Boston in 2011.
