Blazers' Lillard named NBA's top rookie

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has been named the NBA's Rookie of the Year.Lillard, the sixth overall pick in last June's draft out of Weber State, was a unanimous selection for the honor after averaging 19.0 points and 6.5 assists in 82 games this past season.The panel of 121 sportswriters and broadcasters all selected Lillard above Hornets center Anthony Davis and Wizards guard Bradley Beal, who finished second and third, respectively."I am very proud of what Damian accomplished this season," said Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts.
