Raptors acquire Australian Andersen from Rockets

TORONTO (Reuters) - The Toronto Raptors continued to rework their roster acquiring the rights to Australian center David Andersen from the Houston Rockets in exchange for a second round draft pick in 2015, the teams said Wednesday.Taken with the 37th overall selection by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2002 draft, Andersen spent most of his career in Europe before joining the Rockets last season, averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in his rookie NBA campaign."David is a skilled big that gives us some insurance at the backup center position," Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo said in a statement.
