Dodgers place INF Uribe on DL

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed infielder Juan Uribe on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a left wrist injury.Uribe was hitting .250 with four doubles, a home run and 10 RBI through 25 games for the Dodgers this season.Los Angeles purchased the contract of infielder/outfielder Elian Herrera from Triple-A Albuquerque to replace Uribe.Herrera hit .358 with nine doubles, two homers and 14 RBI in 28 games for the Isotopes this season. He has appeared at shortstop, third base, second base, center field and left field.The Dodgers designated outfielder Trent Oeltjen for assignment to make room for Herrera on the 40-man roster....
