Nats, Zimmerman agree to extension

The Washington Nationals and third baseman Ryan year old slugger in the nation's capital for the foreseeable future.Multiple outlets have reported that deal will become official at a press conference at Space Coast Stadium on Sunday.Zimmerman, who had two years and $26 million remaining on a five-year extension he signed in 2009, had wanted a deal in place by Saturday to avoid being a distraction to the team.
