Cards activate Craig, disable Schumaker

Louis Cardinals placed utility man Skip Schumaker on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain and activated infielder/outfielder Allen Craig from the DL on Friday.Schumaker has played in 29 games this year after starting the season on the disabled list with a strained oblique and is hitting .321 with 12 runs batted in for St. Louis. The move is retroactive to May 31.Craig missed the first month of the season while recovering from offseason surgery to repair a fractured right kneecap and has missed the last 14 games with a left hamstring strain, which forced him to the DL on May 17.The 27-year-old has five home runs and 19 RBI while batting an impressive .373 in just 13 games this season.St. Louis also recalled left-handed pitcher Sam Freeman from Triple-A Memphis....
