The Oakland Athletics have claimed right-handed pitcher Rich Thompson off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.In two games for the Angels this season, Thompson gave up four runs on five hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings for a 15.43 ERA.Thompson is 3-4 with a 4.24 ERA in 81 career appearances, all in relief, for the Angels.The Athletics will make a corresponding roster move once Thompson reports to Oakland....
