Ruggiano helps Marlins down Phillies

Justin Ruggiano's sixth inning double put Miami in front and the Marlins' bullpen spun 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Alex Sanabia to down the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-1, in the opener of a three- game set from Marlins Park.Tied at 1-1 in the home half of the sixth, Placido Polanco led off with a single to center. Phillies starter Cole Hamels (1-7), who had a season-high 10 strikeouts, fanned Derek Dietrich and Marcell Ozuna, but Ruggiano delivered a two-out double, scoring Polanco without a throw.Ruggiano drove in an insurance run as part of a three-run eighth on a single up the middle, once again plating Polanco.
