Astros, Albers agree to one-year deal

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Astros and veteran relief pitcher Matt Albers have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract.Multiple media outlets, including the Houston Chronicle, reported the deal for Albers, who was originally drafted by the Astros in the 23rd round of the 2001 amateur draft.The 30-year-old right-hander spent last season in Cleveland, where he went 3-1 with a 3.14 earned run average in 56 relief appearances.Over eight seasons with Houston, Baltimore, Boston, Arizona and Cleveland, Albers has compiled a 25-31 record with a 4.49 ERA in 356 games, including 23 starts....
