Indians activate C Marson from DL

The Cleveland Indians activated catcher Lou Marson from the 15-day disabled list Wednesday and inserted him into the starting lineup for the team's series finale against the Chicago White Sox.Marson was placed on the DL on April 9 with a cervical neck strain after Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Desmond Jennings collided with him on a play at the plate during the third inning of an April 6 matchup at Tropicana Field.The 26-year-old backstop has walked twice in his only two plate appearances this season.To make room for Marson on the roster, Cleveland optioned catcher Yan Gomes to Triple-A Columbus.
