Rangers sign Koyie Hill to minor league deal

The Texas Rangers signed catcher Koyie Hill to a minor league contract on Tuesday.Hill started the season with the Cubs and batted .179 with one RBI in 11 games before being designated for assignment on June 14.The 33-year-old Hill signed with the Nationals on June 19, but was released by Washington on August 3 after hitting .163 with two homers and nine RBI in 31 games at Triple-A Syracuse.Hill has a career major league average of .210 with eight homers and 76 RBI in 313 games with the Dodgers (2003), Diamondbacks (2004-05), and Cubs (2007-12).He will join Triple-A Round Rock of the Pacific Coast League....
