The nation's best.UT Martin quarterback Derek Carr, Indiana State defensive back Johnny Towalid, Georgetown defensive back Jeremy Moore, Alabama State place-kicker/punter Bobby Wenzig and Villanova quarterback John Robertson have been named The Sports Network FCS National Players of the Week 7 for games ending Oct. 13.OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEKDerek Carr, UT Martin, Senior, 6-1, 191, QB, McKenzie, Tenn.In yet another high-scoring Ohio Valley Conference game, Carr played a vital role in helping UT Martin defeat Murray State, 66-59. The senior had a truly historic performance, completing 42-of-46 passes for 560 yards and seven touchdowns. In addition to completing 91 percent of his passes, Carr set an FCS single-game record for passing efficiency (minimum of 45 attempts) with a mark of 243.78.
