Twins' Gibson dominates Jays in DH opener

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Gibson hurled eight scoreless innings to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 7-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of a day-night doubleheader.Gibson (3-0) fanned four while allowing four hits and one walk. Anthony Swarzak sat down the side in order in the ninth to put the game away."It was a good performance right there," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "We liked it and we needed it. It was a nice way to start this day."Trevor Plouffe and Josmil Pinto drove in a pair of runs apiece for the Twins, who have won four of five.
