David William Duchovny (born August 7, 1960) is an American actor, writer and director. He has won Golden Globe awards for his work as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files and Hank Moody on Californication.

Ley.Ley, author of "The Myth of Sex Addiction," stated that while stars including Duchovny, Tiger Woods and Michael Douglas have been treated for the condition, "Sex addiction is nothing more than a pop-psychology phenomenon."Ley wrote in the article, "Sex has no tolerance or withdrawal effects.
