OCEONTA, Ala. – An Alabama district attorney says Instagram accounts posting photos of teenage girls in her county should be taken down.
Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey tells Al.com that the accounts post teenage girls without their permission under offensive names and violate the photo sharing site's user terms barring bullying or harassment.
Casey says she sent a letter to Facebook, which owns Instagram, but hasn't received a response.
An email to the company's press department wasn't immediately returned on Thursday.
She says Facebook should remove the accounts and take steps to stop new ones from being created.
