No, the end of the world isn’t here. It’s worse. Gmail is down.
Numerous reports on Twitter indicate that a temporary outage struck Google’s Gmail service Monday morning, knocking down communication across the country for many.
Google’s Apps Status Dashboard doesn’t indicate a problem, but a spokeswoman told FoxNews.com that the site was indeed having intermittent issues.
"We are currently experiencing an issue with some Google services," said Andrea Freund. "For everyone who is affected, we apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing. We will be posting updates to the Apps Status Dashboard."
Meanwhile Internet users took to Twitter in droves to complain ... and suggest alternate means of entertainment.

The Gmail service appeared to be back online as of 12:15pm Monday afternoon -- hardly soon enough according to some reports.
Gmail is down. The looting, makeshift Thunderdome societies, and ape revolution have begun.
