The girl with the Photoshop tattoo

After using the computer-based design tool Adobe Photoshop for 16 years, the software has left a permanent impression on this web designer. Literally.

While the industry standard photo-editing software now encourages non-destructive editing - meaning you can always go back to a previous version of your file -- one fan has decided to make one of her designs permanent.

Megan Orsi, mother of one, has created her own personal homage to her favorite editing tool in the form of a large tattoo on her forearm which displays what users will recognize as the toolbar palette.

The official Photoshop blog interviewed Orsi about why she chose to inscribe herself with the design.

Since obsessively teaching herself the ins and outs of Photoshop when she was an "X-Files" obsessed primary-schooler, Orsi has built a career as a web designer and front-end web developer.

When asked what inspired her to get the self-designed tattoo Orsi said: "Photoshop has played a HUGE roll in my life. Photoshop helped me to realize, at a rather young age, that this is what I wanted to do with my life -- I want to create!

"This propelled me to get a college degree in Graphic Design and I’ve been a professional in my field for a little over 6 years now. My current title is Sr. Lead Web Designer, and without my addiction, er, love of Photoshop back in the late 1990s, I may not be where I am today."

We just wonder whether the tattoo will be adjusted when the toolbar gets its inevitable yearly update.
