Stores across the country are trying to lure holiday shoppers earlier, some on Thanksgiving morning. And they're planning plenty of deals over the next several days, especially Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year known as "Black Friday."

Here's a look at who is opening when and selected deals they're offering. Store hours can vary; call your local store to confirm opening times.

Walmart:

Most supercenters will be open 24 hours on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26. Stores that aren't supercenters open at midnight Friday.

-- Offering a "price match" program, matching competitors' prices on identical items advertised in print.
-- Deals start at midnight Friday morning for most items and 5 a.m. Friday for electronics.
-- Video games for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and Wii, including "Madden NFL 11" and "Modern Warfare 2" for $29, down from original prices of $50 to $59.
-- Nintendo Wii gaming systems, regularly priced at $199, come with a $50 Walmart gift card.
-- 15.6-inch HP laptop for $298, up to $200 off the regular price of $440 to $498.
-- Wrangler jeans for men for $9.

-- Westinghouse 40-inch LCD HDTV, regularly $549.99, marked down to $298.

Open 7 a.m.-noon Thanksgiving Day. 4 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday.

Stores open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day in most markets, 5 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday.
-- Panasonic 46-inch class plasma HDTV for $499.99, $200 off the retail price.
-- Magellan RoadMate 1424 navigation system for $74.99, $55 off.
-- Trim-A-Home 6.5-foot prelit trees for $79.99, half off.
-- Country Living holiday decor, ornaments and wrap, half off retail prices of $2.99 to $29.99.

Toys R Us:

Stores open 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and will be open for 24 hours.
-- $50 gift card with the purchase of a new iPod Touch.
-- $79.99 Buzz Lightyear figure for $39.99.
-- Lego construction sets that usually retail at $41.99 to $104.99 for $28.13 to $70.34.

Best Buy:

Most stores are open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday.
-- White and black Nintendo Wii Consoles for $169.99, $30 off the retail price.
