They say that every dog has its day, and Jolene's was last Thursday.
Allow us to explain: Jolene, a golden retriever living with her owner Emily Crisp in Califoria, has a chew toy shaped like Gumby, and she loves it more than anyone has ever loved Gumby. Knowing this, Crisp's boyfriend Ben Mesches decided he should try dressing up in a life-sized Gumby costume as a sweet surprise for Jolene, although he probably wasn't prepared for Jolene's reaction.
After a brief moment of shock, Jolene makes a slow approach toward Ben/Gumby almost as if she can't believe what she's seeing. A few seconds later, shock gives way to pure joy as Jolene begins pouncing and pawing on Mesches, who, along with Crisp, can't help from bursting into fits of laughter.
"Ben decided to make her dreams come true," Crisp summarized to Santa Rosa's Press Democrat.
