Summer means skin, no two ways about it. And there's something wonderfully sexy about soft, smooth skin.
That can especially be true when it comes to the nether regions. To be sure, it's all a matter of taste; if bare is not your thing, who am I to say? But going bare can be a whole lot of fun too.
A Sight to See
It can incredibly exciting to get a real look at what your partner is packing. (And guys, rumor has it that the goods in question tend to appear larger when shaved or trimmed. I'm just saying...)
And as for the fairer sex, your partner is likely to be very turned on at being able to witness you becoming aroused.
How-To
Lots of salons will do the deed for you. That goes for men and women alike. But you can certainly opt for the DIY route as well. You might want to employ your partner's assistance, which can be a whole lot of fun in and of itself. If you do want to strike out on your own, I suggest investing in a good mirror, preferably a clever one like the ‘Peeka-bu’ that suction cups to any surface and has a snakelike neck to really let you get up in there.
The key to getting a good trim at home is to have the right materials -- a sharp razor or reliable wax, a good exfoliator, and an anti-bump solution like Bikini Kitty. No matter what your style, razor bumps are not sexy. And you can certainly wax at home -- but that is one activity that is not for the faint of heart.
As for style, let your imagination, combined with your partner's taste, set the course. Guys generally stick to trimmed or waxed/shaved clean. For women, the choices are many. There's fully bare, of course. (The well known Brazilian — thank you, Sex and the City.) But there's also the landing strip, the triangle, the heart, and anything else you can dream up.
But Do I Have To?
No, it's not a forced march. But, quite frankly, it feels good. Really good. Skin on skin with nothing to interfere? Nothing to complain about there. And even when you're not fooling around, you'll find you're much more sensitive where there once was hair, which means getting in the mood could be easier than ever.
Consider this: It is bathing suit season, and most of us will be showing a little more skin than we have all year, so a little tidying up might not be a bad idea. No disrespect to those who choose to go au naturale, but most folks would prefer not to see someone else's unkempt hedges peeking out from his or her swimwear.
And, guys, don't feel like you have to stop at the nether regions. A smooth back and a trimmed chest are the way to many a partner's heart.
Great sex is all about engaging the senses. If you want to heighten the way your body looks and feels, getting trimmed or going bare may be just the ticket. It's summer, so why not go for it, no matter how silly or naughty it might seem?
