A day before she set her house ablaze and shot herself dead, ex-model Carina Schlesinger met with the frantic family of her missing boyfriend — whom she'd already killed — and told such bald-faced lies that they went to the cops.
His relatives had last heard from Daniel Cresci, 29, on Monday. His worried father, Victor, and brother, Jonathan, paid Schlesinger a visit on Tuesday.
They were shocked to find Daniel's car parked outside Schlesinger's Holmdel, NJ, home.
Inside, the only sign of life was her dog, Cookie — who helped her fight off a Central Park rapist in a headline-making case in 2004.
When Schlesinger finally answered the door, Victor told her: "We're looking for Daniel. We haven't heard from him in two days."
