A top ballet teacher has appeared in court accused of abducting one of her boy pupils and having sex with him.

Dundee-born, Sarah Pirie, 27, formerly of St Annes, Lancashire, is facing five charges of intentionally sexually touching the 15-year-old boy.

Pirie, formerly a teacher at a dance school on the Fylde Coast, Lancs, is alleged to have taken the teenager to hotels in Manchester and committed the sex offences between March and June last year.

She is also charged with abducting the teenage pupil from Blackpool on May 22 last year.

Defense lawyer, Trevor Colebourne, said his client pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Prosecutor Pam Smith asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Pirie, now living in Mamer, Luxembourg, was bailed to April 30 for the committal of her case to the higher court by Blackpool magistrates.

Pirie has danced in and choreographed shows in theatres throughout Britain. She has also had minor roles in TV's Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks.
