A Maryland highway has been shut down after a car ruptured a gas pipe while driving through a highway construction project, MyFoxDC.com reported.
The crash resulted in a large fire. Route 29 in Silver Spring, Md., was temporarily shut down in both directions. Nearby homes were evacuated.
No information has been released about the driver.
