The state of Alaska will again put a former stripper-turned-soccer mom on trial in the 1996 death of her former fiance.

Mechele Linehan's conviction was overturned earlier this month by the Alaska Court of Appeals.

Attorney General Dan Sullivan said Monday the state will not appeal the decision, and instead will put Linehan on trial again.

Assistant Attorney General Rick Svobodny says there is "sufficient evidence to support a second conviction."
