A New York jury is about to decide the fate of a man accused of killing his wife and burning her to cinders.

No trace of the wife was found. The husband, 68-year-old jeweler Werner Lippe, says she just took off one day in the midst of their divorce proceedings.

But within a month of Faith Lippe's 2008 disappearance, her husband confessed three times to killing and incinerating her in an oil drum.

In cool and confident testimony last week, he said those accounts were faked, partly because he feared being framed.

The Westchester County jury is expected to begin deliberating on Tuesday. If convicted, Lippe would face up to 25 years to life in prison.
