NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Police in New York say a combination of diet pills, energy drinks and nasal spray may have contributed to the death of a 25-year-old mother, whose body was found after her 2-year-old's cries worried neighbors.
Niagara Falls Police say the woman, whose name hasn't been released, may have been dead for a day before she was found Wednesday in her apartment.
Neighbors say they heard the child crying on Tuesday and called police a day later after failing to reach his mother. She was found on the floor.
Police say there were no signs of physical injury and the death is under investigation as a possible accident.
The child was placed with a grandparent.
