U.S. marshals seized more than $1 million worth of bulk restaurant food products from a Nashville food processor and warehouse after inspectors found signs of rodent infestation.

According to a news release from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Wednesday raid of Won Feng Trading Inc. came after inspectors observed problems including food contaminated with rodent feces and urine.

The FDA issued a warning letter in May 2009, and a November follow-up inspection found continuing problems.

Won Feng receives food from throughout the United States and distributes it within Tennessee.

The FDA has not received any reports of consumer illnesses.

FDA spokesman Thomas Gasparoli said such seizures are rare, with two during the entire last fiscal year.
