Three Connecticut Lacrosse Players Charged With Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Assault

Three lacrosse players at a Connecticut college have been charged with conspiring to sexually assault a female student.

Eighteen-year-old Nicholas Travers of Smithtown, N.Y., 18-year-old Zachari Triner of Mansfield, Mass., and 19-year-old Timothy Sanders of Ashburn, Va., play lacrosse for Sacred Heart University. They were charged Sunday.

Sanders' lawyer says the allegations are "grossly exaggerated." Attorneys for Travers and Triner say they cannot comment on the case or the arrests.
