Supplies of H1N1 serum ran out during a vaccination clinic in Barre, Vt.

Dozens of people were turned away from Saturday's H1N1 clinic after health care workers quickly ran through the 500 doses they had on hand.

The Times Argus newspaper reported that people had lined up for shots well before the clinic opened at 8 a.m. By 10:30, an hour and a half before the clinic was scheduled to end, nurses closed the doors.

Judy Peterson of the Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice, which sponsored the clinic, said it was disappointing to have to turn people away. Those turned back were advised to go to the next clinic.
