Two people were killed when a single-engine plane crashed in a forested area northwest of the Tallahassee Regional Airport.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office and Tallahassee Fire Department responded to the crash Wednesday night. Deputies were reportedly able to find the wreckage by following spot fires in the surrounding area. Fire officials say there was no indication of fire in the main body of the aircraft.
The names of the victims will not be released until family members can be notified.
The cause of the crash was not reported.
