A man shot and killed a person and seriously injured another, before an hours-long standoff with police in New Hampshire, Fox25 in Boston reported.
The victims are a woman and her father, and the suspect is the woman's estranged husband, neighbors told the station.
It was not clear which person was shot.
Houses near the incident in Manchester were evacuated.
Earlier in the day several school in the area were on lockdown while police searched for the suspect.
