Authorities say they've arrested the man who kidnapped and raped a woman walking in a Kissimmee-area subdivision.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office reports that 20-year-old Edwin Antonio Torres-Cruz stopped a 47-year-old woman Oct. 1, threatened her with a knife and demanded money. When he learned that she had none, deputies say Torres-Cruz raped the woman.

Torres-Cruz had been questioned soon after the attack but not arrested. When his DNA reportedly matched samples found at the scene, and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

Torres-Cruz was charged with sexual battery, kidnapping, possession or use of a weapon and armed robbery.

He was being held without bail.
